Safety Information

Concerns around black clay safety are understandable, as some historical black clay bodies used manganese oxide pigmentation.

Nigra 2002 is manufactured by a reputable European supplier and pigmented using safe manufactured stains rather than manganese oxide. The supplier confirms the clay body is suitable for studio and ceramic use.
